Cheshvan: It is Safe to Surrender to the Vibrations
of My Immortal Mind
Cheshvan is the eighth month in the Biblical Hebrew Calendar.
In the month of Cheshvan we are surrounded by the knowing that universal transformation is possible.
With this knowing we are called to bring sacred reflection, wisdom and action into the ordinary every day.
We surrender to the vibrations of our immortal minds, and we live our lives.

Tishrei: I Am Ready

overall dimensions 301/2 " x 15" Paper and wood with oil on Ink
Tishrei is the seventh month in the Biblical Hebrew Calendar.
The month of Tishrei holds tremendous transformative energy and potential.
It is a time endowed with the strength of fire and the power of the spirit necessary to gain victory over the chaos.
It is a time of returning to equilibrium, a balance experienced as a true marriage of the inner masculine and feminine, resulting in the birth of an actual and tactile harvest of the earth and of one’s renewed life.
In the month of Tishrei I painted with the energy of becoming ready.

Elul: Love Is always With Me
Elul is the sixth month in the Biblical Hebrew Calendar.
The essence of the month of Elul is of striving to return to the core, to the root of unconditional love. To this end we have the tools of positive thought, feeling and action. We have the deep yearning of the heart as well. There is mercy and forgiveness in this returning. When painting for Elul I painted with the following intentional affirmations:
Never despair,
There is always a return,
There is always Love.
Elul: Love Is always With Me

Av: I am Whole and Complete
Av is the fifth month in the Biblical Hebrew Calendar.
The essence of Av is of an inner marriage between the positive masculine and the positive feminine. This inner union provides the potential to hear our own hearts as well as our minds. We gain, through this joining, the ability to absorb truth into consciousness through a deep inner listening. In Av the inner marriage, obtained through receiving, creates a balance, a rectified existence, a wholeness.

Tamuz: As I Remember My Connection to My Higher Self
Fear Becomes Impossible
Tamuz is the fourth month in the Biblical Hebrew Calendar
Tamuz brings us an acute awareness of our physical reality and then calls on us to have eyes that see through that reality to the divine source beneath the outer shell – our inner life force. We are called also to focus on the choice to live; to fix our sight on the positive, shedding the habit of focusing on the outer negative realities that are fed by fear.
In the month of Tamuz I focused my painting on remembering my connection to my higher self and practiced cutting my automatic ties to fear.

Sivan is the third month in the Hebrew calendar.
The essence of the Month of Sivan is that of moving forward; a spiritual progress into relationship.
In Sivan, movement into relationship is related to our interdependence on others, to our connection to the Divine and our interconnection to the earth but it is also a movement towards an internal relationship. In Sivan we stand in partnership with two internalized false beliefs; one, that we are surely flawed, the other, that we must be perfect. At the center of these two opposites (deflation and inflation) rests the knowledge that we can, we must, release the need for perfection and accept our humanness. In finding this still point we come into true relationship to ourselves and therefore allow Divine energy to flow through us.
In the month of Sivan I painted with the energy of releasing the need for perfection, accepting my humanness.
Sivan: I Release The Need For Perfection And I Accept My Humanness

Iyar: My Body Radiates The Beauty and Power of Spirit
(I have returned to the original numbering of the paintings in which this was /is the 6th painting)
Iyar is the second month of the Hebrew Calendar
Iyar is the month of receiving revelation; that which comes to be known through consciousness.
We chose redemption (freedom), now we choose revelation,
and it has as its source the innate spiritual wisdom and soul nature of our animal selves, reclaimed, transformed, open and ready to receive.
In Iyar we affirm “I choose to commit to my wholeness, aliveness and well being.”

Nissan: I Choose and I Am Chosen
("I’m livin’ my life like its golden")
Nissan is the first Month of the Hebrew Calendar.
In the month of Nissan we are acutely aware of the emergence of spring, a time of potential and renewal. In Nissan the earth gives us concrete evidence of the power of perseverance and endurance.
There is in Nissan a call to make a choice, to choose one’s personal redemption from slavery (Nissan is the time of the celebration of Passover). The choice we are called to make is one that must be spoken, we must use our voice, our individual expression, to claim this freedom. The power of choosing to express oneself is no less than miraculous.
In the month of Nissan I tried to understand the power of my choice and of being chosen by my life; to “live my life like it is golden”. From “Golden” by Jill Scott
Nissan: I Choose and I Am Chosen
(I’m livin’ my life like its golden)
Adar: I am Here and I Belong,
I love my Life and My Life Loves Me (stop hiding)
Adar is the twelfth month of the Hebrew calendar.
Adar is a pregnant month, full with possibility for bringing the unborn self into its born state.
It is a month associated with the strength of will necessary to reveal your authentic self.
It is a month for laughter, the laughter that comes when the fear of claiming your life is transformed.
It is a time of opening the heart to the Divine through laughter and self acceptance.
This year we have two months of Adar (a counting device employed to adjust to the cycle of the moon.) We take this as an opportunity, a gift, to double our joy. In Adar I, we can experience the birthing our true identities and in Adar II we can rejoice as the innermost essence of one’s true self becomes safely revealed.
Adar: I am Here and I Belong,
I love my Life and My Life Loves Me (stop hiding)
I did not paint for Adar II last year, but I will attempt to do so for my next posting.
